Jaclyn Turpin, Social Worker

Founder of Rural Refresh Independent Practitioner

Throughout her career she has supported individuals living with life-altering injuries, individuals with a life changing diagnosis, and others experiencing grief and impactful transitions. Her work has included walking alongside caregivers, parents, farmers, farm families, and others who are grieving both death and non-death losses.

Jaclyn holds a Masters degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in both Thanatology and Family Studies. She has also completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training.

She lives on a dairy farm with her partner and children and understands the unique needs of farmers and their families, experiencing a way of life where work and home are deeply interconnected, impacting marriages, family dynamics, and relationships.

In counselling you can expect a casual approach to care that engages both your mind and body. Her goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel comfortable to share, reflect, and access support in ways that feel meaningful to you.

Please note: Jaclyn operates her own independent practice under Rural Refresh and rents space at the Physio Nook. Jaclyn manages all aspects of her clinical care and booking directly.

WE ARE
DIFFERENT
BECAUSE

We value what the patient brings to the table as experts of their own bodies.

We create an office environment that is less clinical and feels more like home.

We focus on empathetic listening.

We communicate and approach care in a non hierarchal way.

We don't believe you are broken or in need of fixing but rather continually growing, evolving and adapting.  We believe there is power in working with our bodies, not against them.

At The Phyiso Nook, we redefine what is “normal” and remove barriers that traditionally exist surrounding pelvic health. We create a space where you feel safe and heard, making it easier for you to talk about your body free of judgment or shame.

We take the time to understand your journey, where you’ve come from, and where you want to be. Through an individualized mix of education, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and collaboration, we can help you navigate the rehab landscape. We want you to feel empowered and unhindered in your quest to get back to the things you love!

If you are someone who is mentally and physically exhausted by carrying the burden of complex and lingering symptoms, we work hard to help support you in achieving meaningful and lasting change.
