& MENOPAUSE SUPPORT
MENOPAUSE CAN BE A STRESSFUL TRANSITION
Menopause tends to be a dreaded event in our society - but it doesn’t have to be! Interesting research shows that those who feel educated in what to expect report having less distress around this major life event.
Menopause itself is a relatively brief moment in time, and refers to the cessation of an individuals menstrual cycle around (on average) the age of 50.
Did you know peri-menopause can begin in the 10-15 years leading up to menopause? This transition through menopause often includes symptoms of hot-flashes, night sweats, weight gain, sleep disruption, and cognitive “fog”. Menopause has known impacts on cardiovascular and bone health.
Many people don’t realize there are many factors you can control that impact your experience of menopause. Getting into healthy practices BEFORE menopause has been shown to be helpful in curbing the symptoms and effects of this transition and decreasing overall distress surrounding this inevitable life transition.
